Job summary

Independence Health is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to perform daily cleaning in patient rooms and public areas, maintaining a sanitary and attractive environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will follow department procedures, handle waste and linens, and restock supplies as needed.

In this role you must be detail-oriented, organized, able to multitask, and communicate effectively with shifts and supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be organized, with sound judgment and the ability to plan work efficiently.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a busy hospital environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services assigned hospital areas and patient rooms.
• Performs daily cleaning tasks in public areas and ancillary spaces.
• Collects and transports waste and soiled linens per guidelines.
• Records supplies and maintains inventory according to procedure.
• Assists the supervisor and leads with department coordination.
• Follows safety rules and uses protective equipment as required.
