Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks an Environmental Services Worker to clean and service guest, patient, public, clinical and administrative areas, maintaining a clean and aseptic environment. You will perform duties with adherence to current regulations and standards within a healthcare setting.

The role requires ability to read, write and speak English to follow instructions, with preferred high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year related experience in environmental services.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Able to read, write and speak/understand English to follow instructions.
• Basic housekeeping knowledge and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Good listening skills and ability to take direction with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Keeps Environmental closet and equipment clean, aseptic and orderly.
• Assists with restocking cafe and bar as needed.
• Assists with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follows Joint Commission / CMS cleaning regulations.
