Job summary

Family Healthcare of Hagerstown is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role involves cleaning exam rooms, waiting areas, offices, and common spaces daily, disinfecting surfaces, and ensuring supplies are stocked.

You will follow infection control procedures, use PPE, and contribute to a welcoming healthcare environment. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, flexible hours, and a commitment to confidentiality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of previous commercial or professional building cleaning experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of environmental cleanliness and infection control practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects exam tables, dental chairs, chair bases, waiting room seating, and other patient-care surfaces daily.
• Disinfects countertops, sinks, cabinets, fixtures, and equipment in exam rooms, dental operatories, laboratory areas, and other clinical spaces.
• Vacuums and mops floors in clinical and patient-care areas according to housekeeping protocols.
• Cleans bathrooms daily using approved disinfectants and infection control procedures.
• Cleans and disinfects toys and shared patient-use items according to established protocols.
• Spot cleans windows, artwork, light fixtures, vents, and other surfaces as needed.
• Cleans elevators and disinfects high-touch surfaces daily.
