HDR in Phoenix seeks a Healthcare Engineering Principal to lead technical excellence in healthcare engineering, guide complex projects, and advise clients across hospitals, ambulatory centers, and academic medical centers.

You will build teams, mentor engineers, drive business development, and partner with HDR leadership to advance healthcare market growth while delivering resilient, sustainable design solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 15 years related engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with healthcare facility projects preferred.
• Strong leadership and business development skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for healthcare engineering projects in Arizona and the Southwest.
• Serve as Principal-in-Charge or Senior Technical Lead on major healthcare programs.
• Mentor engineers and support recruiting and professional development.
• Develop client relationships and grow HDR's healthcare market presence.
• Ensure quality, safety, and sustainable design across projects.
