Job summary

VA Boston Healthcare System is seeking a Healthcare Engineer (GS-12) to serve as Project Engineer within Facilities Management. You will plan, design, manage construction and contracts for minor construction, non-recurring maintenance, and leases across medical centers and clinics.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, manage construction and associated contracts for Minor Construction Projects, Non-Recurring Maintenance Projects, Station Level Projects, and Leases across the VA Boston Healthcare System.
• Oversee Professional Architecture/Engineering and Construction contracts to ensure contractor compliance with contractual requirements, healthcare regulations and codes.
• Provide engineering support, maintain construction specs/drawings, and act as healthcare engineering advisor, consultant, designer, contract administrator and project manager on assigned projects.
