Job summary

Nebraska Medicine seeks an Electrician for full-time third shift (11:00pm–7:30am), Sunday through Thursday, with occasional on-call weekends. The role maintains and repairs a broad range of electrical systems across campus and satellites, including installation, modernization, repair, and fault finding to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Requirements: at least three years of electrical experience, Nebraska Journeyman license, high school diploma, ability to read manuals, strong troubleshooting,

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years electrical experience required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Formal education in a vocational or trade school specifically related to plant electrical maintenance required.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to work with tools and test instruments required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve problems while working in stressful situations required.
• State of Nebraska Journeyman electrician license required.
• Current valid motor vehicle operator license and ability to meet insurability required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems for the organization. This includes installation, connection, maintenance, modernization, repair, and removal of electrical equipment and systems to ensure a reliable, safe, and cost effective operation for all campus and satellite buildings.
