Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer - Healthcare to deliver hospital-scale electrical and low‑voltage designs across the Midwest. The role emphasizes power, lighting, life‑safety, and coordination with other disciplines.

You will support project managers and engineering managers, design critical systems, and ensure code compliance for complex institutional facilities, including hospitals and ambulatory centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• EIT required; PE preferred.
• 8–12+ years of healthcare or mission-critical project design experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project electrical engineer on healthcare/institutional projects.
• Design normal and emergency power distribution, lighting, life-safety, and low-voltage systems.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Produce drawings, specs, and reports in Revit/BIM.
• Support project managers with scope and schedule input.
• Conduct field investigations to verify conditions.
