Baptist Health is a not-for-profit health system seeking an EH&S Safety Specialist to manage safety and emergency preparedness across sites in Miami‑Dade and surrounding counties. The role involves overseeing Environment of Care and Emergency Management programs with compliance to OSHA/EPA healthcare regulations.

On‑call availability and travel to multiple sites are required, supporting patient and staff safety within a faith‑based mission.

Qualifications

• Practical problem-solving and thorough knowledge of emergency management and environmental health & safety.
• Effective communication, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize.
• Good understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations preferably as related to healthcare setting.
• Driving required only for entities with multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• The EH&S Safety Specialist assists in managing the safety and emergency preparedness programs in accordance to local, State and Federal regulations.
• Under guidance of EH&S Manager, oversees safety and environmental compliance concerns within the Environment of Care and Emergency Management programs.
• The incumbent will also be available on-call to respond to any unforeseen emergency at the entity.
• Position requires the ability to travel to multiple sites.
