Job summary

MedVanta is seeking an EDI Associate in Bethesda, MD to support electronic claims processing and ensure smooth EDI operations. You will work with billing and payer teams to submit claims, troubleshoot rejections, and verify enrollment and 837/835/270/271 transactions.

The role requires a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred), familiarity with EDI software, strong Excel skills, and excellent organization.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic data interchange (EDI) processes and claims submission.
• Familiarity with payer enrollment and claim remittance workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot rejected claims and resolve discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit electronic healthcare claims through the EDI system.
• Manage all coverage claims submission (primary, secondary, tertiary).
• Monitor and troubleshoot rejected or failed claims; take corrective action.
• Coordinate with clearinghouses, insurers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain accurate claim records.
