Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Medical Economics Analyst to provide consultative support and cost-based analysis of markets and network initiatives. You will help improve discount positions and drive utilization initiatives while collaborating with local market leaders to manage multiple projects.

You will analyze utilization trends, turn data into actionable insights with Power BI, and support action items to optimize costs.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in analytics or finance, including internships.
• Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
• Experience with provider contracting, benefit design, medical management and related financial impacts.
• Experience working with medical and pharmacy claims.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze utilization and unit cost drivers in medical costs.
• Turn data into insights using data visualization to tell a story.
• Identify outlier cost issues and support actionable items.
• Conduct drill-down analysis to understand cost trend drivers and contracting opportunities.
• Own and document all aspects of projects from start to finish.
• Work with Excel, MS-Access, Power BI, and data warehouse tools.
