Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Driver/Courier to transport materials between facilities and support department operations. This full-time position (40 hours) requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant experience.

Responsibilities include pickups/deliveries, proper handling of materials, maintaining logs, and coordinating with supervisors. The role emphasizes safety, vehicle maintenance, and timely communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Five years of work experience preferred.
• AHA Heartsaver or equivalent training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers mail, specimens, supplies, and reports following schedules.
• Maintains courier vehicle in proper condition and logs deliveries with signatures.
• Responds to ad hoc requests from department staff for additional stops.
• Maintains logs, mileage, and service records; communicates with supervisor regularly.
• Ensures safety by assisting passengers and enforcing seatbelt use when transporting people.
• Identifies routing improvements and notifies supervisor of needs.
