Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in economics, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, public policy, or a related quantitative field.
• 2 years post-doctoral experience applying causal inference methods to real-world healthcare data, especially administrative claims.
• Peer-reviewed publication record in health economics, outcomes, delivery, policy, quality, or safety.
• Demonstrated success communicating analytic findings to non-researchers.
• Ability to independently code, execute, and troubleshoot analyses in R, Stata, or Python.
• Commitment to improving healthcare for the public in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Experience designing and overseeing analytic projects from concept through execution.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead applied studies estimating associations and causal effects from non-randomized healthcare data.
• Develop and implement advanced analytic methods (IVs, diff-in-diffs, regression discontinuities, propensity scores, ML).
• Work with diverse data resources including EHRs, PLD, and external claims.
• Translate findings into policy-relevant insights for diverse audiences.
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to internal/external stakeholder materials.
• Oversee data analysts and research assistants to ensure timely analytic delivery.
