Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably with healthcare data projects or financial/banking systems.
• Proficiency with SQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and analytics platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, Spark).
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools such as Airflow, Talend, NiFi, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) and data processing tools.
• Programming/scripting in Python, PySpark, Java, or Scala for data manipulation.
• Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes for data system deployment.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and analytics concepts.
• Understanding of healthcare data security and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines to gather, process, and store healthcare data from multiple sources.
• Create and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for analytics-ready data stores.
• Design and manage cloud-based data engineering solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Develop and maintain robust data storage in SQL/NoSQL databases; tune performance.
• Integrate healthcare data across applications and prepare datasets for analytics and machine learning.
• Monitor pipelines for uptime, security, and compliance; address bottlenecks and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with analysts, product teams, and healthcare specialists; document models, pipelines, and APIs.
