Job summary

IEHP in California is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst II to lead data and analysis for the Health Plan’s Clinical and Provider programs. The role requires designing relational databases, complex queries, and applying statistical techniques to support quality initiatives such as HEDIS, CAHPS, and NCQA accreditation.

The incumbent will present findings to leadership and collaborate across teams, ensuring rigorous research methods and reliable analyses that inform payment algorithms and program

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with large data sets and relational database structures.
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution required.
• In lieu of a Master’s degree, a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of additional relevant work experience is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead data analysis efforts for Clinical and Provider departments, programs, and quality activities.
• Design relational databases and complex query logic for analyses.
• Present study results to leadership and other audiences within the organization.
• Support IEHP’s quality programs (e.g., HEDIS, CAHPS, NCQA Accreditation) with sound research methods.

Under the direction of the Quality Systems Leadership Team, the Healthcare Data Analyst II (HDA) is responsible for leading various data and analysis efforts for the Health Plan’s Clinical and Provider departments, programs, and quality activities. The HDA must have significant experience in designing relational databases, complex query logic and statistical analysis. In addition to technical data concepts, the HDA will utilize sound research methods and statistical concepts in designing reliable studies/analyses, and payment algorithms supporting IEHP’s quality programs. The HDA presents study/analysis results to various audiences throughout the organization, including the leadership team. Education & Requirements

Key Qualifications

• Understanding of statistical methods and experience applying statistical methods to answer data questions
• Working knowledge of data analysis, study methodology, and preparing professional documents
• Data analysis, data presentation, spread sheet and database capabilities
• Proficient in of Microsoft Access, MS PowerBI, SAS, SQL, or other statistical applications are essential
• Excellent interpersonal/ communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point required
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to present reports / data analysis findings in group settings
• Strong problem-solving capability
• Ability to manage multiple projects with time-sensitive deadlines a must

Pay Range

• $91,249.60 USD Annually - $120,910.40 USD Annually
