Job summary

Wilmington Health is seeking a Credentialing Assistant to support the Credentialing Specialist in credentialing, recredentialing and privileging for providers across the Wilmington Health organization.

The role requires at least 2 years in healthcare credentialing, proficiency with credentialing software and strong organizational skills. You will maintain provider files, generate reports, and coordinate communications with clinicians and regulatory bodies for timely credentialing completion.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of healthcare credentialing and/or payer enrollment experience.
• Experience with credentialing software or databases.
• Ability to handle confidential information and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle routine communications and data gathering for credentialing and payer enrollment.
• Maintain up-to-date files on Wilmington Health providers.
• Organize documents and provider files, digital or hardcopy.
• Maintain credentialing software, forms, queries, and reports.
• Publish credentialing status reports to Wilmington Health leadership.
• Support other administrative functions within the Credentialing Team.
