Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Manager of Cost Accounting in Morristown, NJ. This role leads the cost accounting function, ensuring accurate allocation of costs across hospitals, departments, and service lines, and partners with clinical and operational leaders on time studies and RVU weighting.

The role reports to the Director of Decision Support and requires expertise in healthcare cost accounting, data integrity, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the integrity, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the cost accounting model.
• Manage monthly/quarterly costing processes, including data validation and cost allocations.
• Develop and document methodologies for direct and indirect cost assignments across departments.
• Establish and maintain cost allocation methodologies reflecting resource utilization and workflows.
• Lead the governance of cost accounting systems and data quality across finance and operations.
