Compensation: $19.00-$26.50 / Hourly

Role Overview

The primary role of the Healthcare Coordinator (HC) is to partner with supported Dentists to help gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the best course of treatment with urgency. Key responsibilities include understanding and utilizing financial options to support case acceptance, educating patients on treatment choices, overcoming common patient objections, and proactively keeping Dentist’s schedules productive. The HC supports each patient in a consultative and educational manner while ensuring a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and creating Patients for Life (PFL).

Responsibilities
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Gain financial commitment from patients to start recommended treatments.
  • Achieve proficiency in PDS system and tools to assist patients in making informed decisions.
  • Execute the HC Handoff with each clinician on exam days.
  • Be knowledgeable about all financial options to offer patients choices fitting their budgets.
  • Professionally address and overcome patient objections to treatment.
  • Obtain insurance pre-authorizations when necessary.
  • Support the office in exemplifying the Comprehensive Care Model and referrals.
  • Participate actively in daily huddles, team meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Understand business metrics and how the role impacts results.
  • Uphold the PDS Brand standards and make decisions aligned with the brand framework.
  • Support clinical excellence through knowledge of the Mouth-Body Connection.
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Travel between offices may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience or coursework in dentistry, insurance, or business.

  • Knowledge of office practices, technology, and patient insurances.
  • Results-oriented, energetic, and goal-driven.
  • Empathetic patient advocate with strong ethics.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with operational processes and technology.
