Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a food service team member to prepare and serve high quality meals for patients and retail services. You will follow safe food handling procedures and meet dietary requirements while delivering timely orders.

This hourly role supports both patient dining and retail service in a fast-paced hospital setting. Qualified applicants bring healthcare or restaurant facility experience, state food safety certifications, and a willingness to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 6 months healthcare or restaurant facility experience.
• Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification (or within 1 year of hire).
• FSSC-Food Service and Sanitation Certification.
• Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Know basic math skills and follow instructions.
• Must be willing and capable of working in a fast paced environment.
• Must be flexible and adapt easily to changes in schedule, work assignments and environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and presents high quality food within specified time frame for patient and retail services.
• Follows safe food handling procedures.
• Takes customer orders and prepares orders according to recipes, considering dietary needs.
