You will supervise staff when the Chef is absent, follow recipes, and coordinate with dietary personnel to support resident health and satisfaction while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience as a cook in an institutional food service setting preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and infection control practices.
• ServSafe certification or certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises culinary center staff in the absence of the Chef or Certified Dietary Manager.
• Handles and stores all food according to facility procedures and safety guidelines.
• Follow standardized recipes and prepare foods per menu cycles developed by Registered Dietitians.
• Cook nutritious meals at proper temperatures and times for residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and prevent waste through efficient use of supplies and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in food handling and preparation.
