NHC is seeking a Cook / Chef for The Palmettos of Bluffton, a senior care community in Bluffton, SC. This full-time position includes alternating weekend shifts (6:30a-3p and 10:30a-7p) and opportunities to contribute creativity within a healthcare dining program.

Responsibilities focus on high-quality food preparation, portion control, and adherence to standardized recipes and diet orders, in a supportive team environment. Experience in healthcare food service is preferred but not required.

• Familiarity with therapeutic menus and production sheets helpful.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and diets precisely.

• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies.
• Review menus, therapeutic menus, recipes, and production sheets.
• Prepare and serve diets accurately using proper portions.
• Test and taste foods for appearance, flavor, aroma, and temperature.
• Time meal production to meet service schedules.
• Check trays for diet accuracy and quality before delivery.
