Sodexo is hiring a Cook at PENN STATE HEALTH HAMPDEN MEDICAL CENTER. You’ll prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold items across meal periods and events, maintaining safety, quality, and cleanliness inside a fast-paced kitchen.

You’ll work mornings through evenings with varying days, some weekends/holidays, and a pay range of $20 per hour. The role includes benefits and opportunities for growth within Sodexo’s culinary team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsabilités

• Prepare food per current standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing and serving foods.
• Taste products, read menus, estimate requirements, and plan production.
• Significant walking or other mobility required.
• Stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Lift up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Perform repetitive motions as part of kitchen tasks.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time and reliably show up.
• Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
