Job summary

Pleasant View Communities in Manheim, PA is seeking a Healthcare Cook to join our resident-centered team. This full-time role offers day shifts 10am–7pm, with every other weekend and holiday, and pay between $17 and $23 per hour.

You will prepare meals for diverse care settings, follow standardized recipes, ensure safety and sanitation, and support our residents’ happiness with quality presentation. This position provides competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within a caring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare, restaurant, senior living, or food service.
• Ability to prepare a variety of foods in large quantities while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion controls.
• Must be dependable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
• Culinary education or formal culinary training preferred but not required.
• Experience with therapeutic diets, texture-modified diets, or senior dining preferred but not required.
• Must take pride in food quality, presentation, and resident satisfaction.

Shift Availability for Healthcare Cook:

• Full-time 10am-7pm, 9am-5:30pm
• Every other Weekend. Every other Holiday.
• Pay ranging from $17-23 per hour
