Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a skilled Purchasing/Contract Specialist to identity, source, negotiate and execute purchase agreements for a wide range of goods, services and equipment. You will work with Exec Director Supply Chain and Value Analysis teams to optimize pricing, terms, and supplier performance.

Responsibilities include maintaining pricing and contract data, collaborating with departments to assess new products, and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Materials Management or Communications.
• Five years of purchasing/materials experience preferred.
• Alternative: Associate degree with seven years purchasing/materials experience or High School with nine years purchasing/materials experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source, negotiate and execute purchase agreements and contracts for goods, services and equipment.
• Maintain contracts/pricing agreements with pricing data and dates of service.
• Collaborate with departments and value analysis teams to evaluate new products and equipment.
• Liaise with vendors, legal and finance to resolve contract and invoicing issues.
• Continuously re-evaluate pricing through negotiations, RFPs, and existing contracts.
