Timing: Monday thru Friday, 8 hours worked, between 8am to 5pm local time

Duration: 6 + months contract

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HEDIS Medical Record Auditor to participate in the audit and oversight of the medical record collection and review process for HEDIS quality reporting. In this role, you will review medical records, annotate via Adobe PDF, and audit data within a collection tool to ensure compliance with HEDIS and CMS performance measures. Training will be provided prior to the start of the assignment.

Responsibilities
  • Audit information entered into abstraction and data entry systems based on HEDIS Technical Specifications.
  • Review, interpret, and annotate clinical criteria from medical records using Adobe PDF.
  • Monitor, validate, and audit data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and risk management requirements.
  • Maintain project productivity while meeting accuracy and quality standards.
  • Identify trends and document areas for process improvement.
  • Attend all required training sessions and project-related conference calls.
  • Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.

Education
  • RN/LVN license with Associate or Bachelor’s degree (preferred, not required).
  • Prior experience performing medical chart audits in payer or provider settings.
