NextPlay Jobs is partnering with a respected Colorado general contractor to hire an experienced Healthcare Superintendent to lead complex projects in active medical environments.

You will oversee construction in occupied hospitals, balancing patient care with project needs, while mentoring field teams and coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and hospital staff. This role emphasizes safety, compliance, and timely, coordinated execution.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of construction experience with healthcare focus.
• Experience in hospital renovations and expansions.
• Experience working in occupied and operating healthcare facilities.
• Knowledge of infection control and containment.
• Understanding of healthcare codes, compliance, phasing, and logistics.
• Proven ability to lead subcontractors and field teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction activities within occupied hospitals while minimizing disruption to patient care.
• Manage field scheduling, production, quality, safety, and overall project execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and logistics.
• Lead daily huddles and weekly coordination meetings.
• Collaborate with owners, hospital reps, architects, engineers, and PM teams.
• Oversee infection control, containment, phasing, and site logistics in healthcare settings.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, codes, safety, and accreditation.
• Identify field challenges early and keep projects on schedule.
