Job summary

Tryon Medical Partners is seeking a Project Manager, Construction to support the Director of Construction and Design in delivering capital projects, including medical office builds and ASC renovations. You will lead projects from feasibility through close-out, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget stay on track.

The role requires 5+ years of end-to-end construction management, strong design/permits experience, and proven vendor and contractor oversight within a healthcare context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects end-to-end.
• Strong command of design and permitting processes from feasibility through construction documents.
• Proven ability to keep multiple concurrent projects on schedule and under budget.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong vendor and general contractor management and budget-tracking skills.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects end-to-end: scope, schedule, budget, and milestones.
• Guide projects through feasibility, design development, permitting, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
• Serve as primary contact for architects, engineers, general contractors, and consultants, monitoring performance against schedule, budget, and quality.
• Review and process change orders, pay applications, and invoices; prepare budget status reports and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards; partner with clinical team on healthcare requirements.
• Coordinate with Clinical, Operations, IT, Facilities, Procurement, and Finance to align with organizational needs.
• Identify risks and issues early; elevate to Director with recommended solutions.
• On-site visits to active construction projects and periodic travel within the Charlotte region.
