Job summary

Healthcare Realty Trust Inc. seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead tenant improvements and capital construction across its medical office portfolio in the DMV area.

This hands-on role requires coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, tenants, and internal stakeholders from concept through completion. It is a full-time hybrid position with 20–30% travel and a competitive base pay with annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial/healthcare construction and tenant improvement projects.
• Experience serving as owner’s/landlord representative and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Strong ability to read building drawings, schedules, and budgets; lead meetings and drive projects to completion.
• Willingness to travel within the region and manage project teams in the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead tenant improvement and capital construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Conduct site visits for inspections, oversight, and collaboration with property teams.
• Develop knowledge of assigned portfolio and building assets.
• Build networks with local contractors and vendors for competitive bidding.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout docs.
• Collaborate with leasing teams on budgets and initial construction estimates.
