Job summary

Long Island Select Healthcare, Inc. seeks an experienced Director of Compliance and Risk Management to lead the organization’s compliance program, oversee risk management, and align contract oversight with federal and state regulations in New York.

This role partners with senior leadership to implement the Seven Elements of an Effective Compliance Program, develop policies, conduct audits, and train staff to uphold the highest standards of integrity and patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; healthcare compliance certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in healthcare compliance.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and policy implementation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; leadership skills.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid New York driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Compliance Committee and ensure oversight of policies.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive FQHC Compliance Program.
• Oversee contract compliance and regulatory adherence (HIPAA, 340B, OSHA).
• Create annual audit plans targeting high-risk areas.
• Conduct HIPAA risk assessments and training programs.
• Monitor attestations, evaluations, and incident reporting.
• Coordinate external audits and work with regulators.
• Act as Safety Officer for safety protocols and drills.
• Update Compliance Manual and Annual Compliance Plan.
• Manage external counsel and contract approvals.
