Job summary

Chapters Health System is seeking a Corporate Compliance Auditor to assist the Director of Compliance/Risk in planning and coordinating quality improvement and performance improvement projects related to regulatory compliance for admissions and recertification. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, at least two years of related experience, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

RN license is preferred; hospice experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Detail oriented and knowledgeable in clinical standards of practice.
• Experience with chart audit review and data compilation.
• Strong documentation skills and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Compliance and audit experience preferred; hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs audits of patient records to ensure staff and policies comply with regulatory requirements while preserving confidentiality.
• Collects, reviews, and analyzes data pertaining to audit functions for the Director of Compliance/Risk and Audit Committee reports.
• Researches problems to determine origin and resolution, evaluates compliance with control/benchmark requirements.
• Summarizes findings and provides recommendations to the Director of Compliance/Risk weekly.
• Reports to Clinical Administration at each affiliate on patient eligibility and documentation concerns, and areas of care.
