Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Compliance and Privacy Manager to implement the Corporation's Compliance and Privacy Work Plans across CHRISTUS facilities in Texas. The role oversees auditing, training, and risk assessments to ensure adherence to federal and state healthcare laws.

You will collaborate with the Regional Compliance & Privacy Director, monitor privacy incidents, and coordinate regulatory audits, while maintaining current knowledge of healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in business, accounting, health care administration, or legal.
• Knowledge of healthcare legal/regulatory compliance practices.
• Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Rule, False Claims Act, Stark Law & Anti-kickback statutes.
• Working knowledge of hospital operation processes.
• Knowledge of audit and investigation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Execute annual Compliance Work Plans as directed by CHRISTUS Regional Compliance & Privacy Director.
• Audit and monitor business units for regulatory compliance.
• Identify compliance and privacy gaps with business units.
• Develop workflows and corrective actions for identified gaps and deficiencies.
• Develop risk assessments and recommend improvements for compliance/privacy.
• Develop monitoring metrics and assist in policy/procedure development.
• Maintain current knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws.
• Provide guidance on regulations to affected parties in writing.
• Develop and deliver targeted training content per work plan or leadership requests.
• Track training completion for facilities.
• Attend regional work group meetings as directed.
• Investigate suspected privacy breaches and HIPAA incidents.
• Coordinate regulatory audits (OIG, OCR, audits).
• Prepare and submit reporting of compliance incidents to regulators.
