Job summary

Dept Behavioral Health/Develop seeks a Compliance Officer to oversee the hospital and long‑term care compliance program at Hiram Davis Medical Center. You will coordinate audits, trainings, and investigations to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies, guiding corrective actions as needed.

The role emphasizes collaboration with leadership to identify risks, develop a yearly work plan, and maintain thorough documentation for accreditation and regulatory reviews.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates excellent facilitation, relationship skills, and communication abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, tact and diplomacy required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data management skills.
• Knowledge of basic computer technology, web-based programs, and medical terminology.
• Prior knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards and clinical process improvement concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support Internal Audit Programs and Tracer Methodology to identify gaps and improvements.
• Conduct internal audits including medical record reviews and other compliance assessments.
• Coordinate audit program needs, trainings, and other duties to maintain audit effectiveness.
• Plan, organize, and manage audits, submit reports within deadlines with documentation.
• Oversee the Corporate Compliance Program including policies and reporting mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain a risk-based annual compliance work plan and report progress to leadership.
• Maintain evidence of compliance activities and investigation files for reviews.
• Coordinate investigations of patient and family grievances with appropriate confidentiality.
