CVS Health is hiring for a full-time Medical Coding Auditor role in the United States. You will audit and abstract medical records to identify CMS ICD codes and verify risk adjustment accuracy, while ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations and internal policies.

Required CPC/CCS-P or related training, with 1 year of coding/auditing experience and proficiency in ICD coding and Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS-P credential required (or training with work history).
• 1 year of medical record documentation review, diagnosis coding, or auditing.
• Experience with ICD coding required.
• Ability to retrieve records via phone/fax and communicate with providers.

Responsibilities

• Audit and abstract provider or vendor medical records for CMS codes.
• Ensure codes reflect medical necessity and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness per project deadlines.
• Apply HIPAA privacy and security rules in all handling of patient data.
• Support risk adjustment models and clinical documentation review.
