The incumbent will interpret coding changes and educate staff accordingly. The position emphasizes independent decision making, adherence to current federal/state guidelines, and effective communication with physicians and healthcare

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Current Coding credential: CPC or CCP (CER-CPC/ CER-CCP), required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of coding guidelines and principles; performs coding audits for optimization.
• Demonstrates effective validation skills; provides ad-hoc education to the coding staff.
• Demonstrates knowledge of coding policy and procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of all current Federal and State coding guidelines; stays up to date on system literature from agencies.
