Job summary

ClearView Building Maintenance Inc. is seeking a Healthcare Cleaning Technician to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and infection-control standards within medical environments. You will perform specialized cleaning and disinfection according to site protocols and ClearView quality standards.

The role emphasizes working in an indoor healthcare setting with evening hours, limited travel between sites, and strict safety and PPE guidelines to protect patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in janitorial or healthcare cleaning preferred (training provided).
• Must pass background checks including fingerprint-based healthcare check.
• Must complete pre-employment health screenings, including a TB test and vaccination verification or approved exemption.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Must meet physical and insurance requirements for employment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect exam rooms, restrooms, offices, and public areas per infection-control policies.
• Use hospital-grade cleaning products safely and observe required dwell times.
• Handle waste removal and restock paper products and soap.
• Maintain janitorial closets and ensure supplies are stocked and organized.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors, walls, vents, glass, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Follow PPE requirements, isolation-room cleaning protocols, and safety standards.
• Secure buildings by locking doors, turning off lights, and setting alarms as assigned.
• Accurately complete daily cleaning logs or checklists.
• Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns promptly to your supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working in occupied patient-care settings.
• Work that truly makes a difference in your community.

Position Summary

The Healthcare Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and infection-control standards within medical or clinical environments served by ClearView. This position supports a safe and hygienic environment by performing specialized cleaning and disinfection tasks according to site-specific protocols and ClearView quality standards.

• Clean and disinfect exam rooms, restrooms, offices, and public areas according to infection-control policies.

• Use hospital-grade cleaning products safely and effectively, observing required dwell times.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous janitorial or healthcare cleaning experience preferred (training provided).

• Must pass both ClearView’s standard background check and a fingerprint-based healthcare background check.

• Must complete required pre-employment health screenings, including a TB test and vaccination verification or approved exemption (flu/COVID-19).

• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

• Must meet physical and insurance requirements for employment.

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs during the shift.

• Repetitive motion using hands and arms; ability to push/pull carts and equipment.

• Occasional kneeling or climbing to reach overhead fixtures.

• Must be able to tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals (with PPE provided).

Work Environment

• Indoor healthcare or clinical setting.

• Evening schedule with minimal travel between sites.

• Works under limited supervision once trained.

• Must follow all ClearView and site-specific safety standards.
