Job summary

Duncaster Inc is seeking a Heavy-Duty Cleaner to perform comprehensive cleaning in our skilled nursing center and resident apartments in Bloomfield, CT. This role involves extensive cleaning tasks across living spaces, hallways, and communal areas while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of healthcare cleaning experience preferred, and be able to communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of related healthcare or life care experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily and weekly deep cleans in residents’ apartments.
• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, metalwork, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Operates cleaning equipment machines, scrubbers, power washer, carpet cleaner extraction machines, and vacuum cleaners.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor; cleans rugs and upholstery.
• Turns mattresses and vacuums upholstery and mattresses thoroughly.
• Washes walls, windows, doors, panels, sills, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Empties wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Assists in moving heavy furniture and equipment.
• Maintains equipment and reports safety concerns.
