Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an FM Assistant - Cleaning to help keep wards and associated areas clean to the National Standards of Cleanliness. The role involves hands-on cleaning duties across wards and clinical/administrative areas, with a flexible approach in a busy NHS environment.

You will work within the Facilities Team, performing tasks from vacuuming and mopping to restocking supplies, ensuring patient, staff and visitor areas remain safe and hygienic.

Responsibilities

• Clean ward(s)/areas in line with the Work Schedule.
• Vacuum, sweep, scrub and mop floors; high and low dusting; wipe surfaces, mirrors and fixtures.
• Clean toilets, sinks, baths and showers; clean kitchen appliances and kitchens.
• Restock consumables (toilet tissue, hand towels, soap) and replace bin liners.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Be flexible as part of the Facilities Team and prioritise tasks as needed.
