Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Claims Team Lead to oversee daily claims operations and support a team of claims processors/adjusters. You will monitor productivity, quality, and SLAs, coach staff, and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve performance goals and continuous improvement. Strong MS Office and Facets experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Healthcare claims processing experience (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, or related lines).
• Experience with claims platforms: Facets.
• Strong knowledge of claim adjudication, adjustments, appeals, and regulatory requirements.
• Previous lead, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience leading a team.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 - $67,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
