Job summary

Heritage Oaks Hospital is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial operations across an acute hospital and outpatient centers in the Sacramento area. You will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue cycle, driving profitability and adherence to regulatory standards.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in healthcare financial leadership, a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), and strong expertise in hospital financial operations and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role in a healthcare setting.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of hospital financial operations, federal and local tax regulations; familiarity with accounting, payroll and administrative office processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and controls accounts receivables; oversees cash collection goals and communicates results to CEO and Business Office Manager.
• Improves profitability by monitoring costs, payor mix, and length of stay; assists in contract negotiations with third-party payers.
• Develops and monitors policies and procedures to ensure cash flow and reduced operating costs.
• Prepares monthly financial statements and analyses; provides reconciliations and internal controls for stakeholders.
