UofL Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a Healthcare Safety and Security Officer to safeguard campuses and ensure a safe healing environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role involves responding to emergencies, conducting patrols, and enforcing site policies.

You will work across multiple locations, perform de-escalation, operate security systems, screen entrants, and support patient safety initiatives. A valid driver's license and background check are required.

Formación

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Must hold a valid unrestricted driver's license.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Observe and report signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and unauthorized individuals.
• Sound alarms or call for police/EMS in emergencies and incidents.
• Respond calmly to fires, medical emergencies, or other critical events with urgency.
• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while enforcing safety procedures.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment for proper operation.
• Screen patients, visitors, and employees to expedite admittance to the facilities.
