Pediatrics Plus is seeking a Billing Specialist to manage Medicaid, insurance, and private pay billing, while maintaining strong customer service and accuracy in accounts receivable. This role focuses on efficiently handling billing tasks and supporting families through the insurance process.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, preferably in healthcare or medical office setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
• Proficiency with keyboarding, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and Internet software.

Responsibilities

• Process and bill insurance claims.
• Handle medical record requests from insurance companies.
• Reconcile payments received to payments posted in system.
• Provide excellent customer service over the phone to families and team members.
• Explain insurance billing scenarios to families and team members.
• Problem solve inconsistencies with insurance billing.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy to HIPAA standards.
• Enter and update data within the system and assist with data accuracy.
