Job summary

UMass Chan Medical School is seeking a Medical Billing and Finance Analyst to develop and maintain data-driven financial and program performance reporting for internal and external audiences. The candidate will work with large datasets, perform compliance reviews, and support ad-hoc reporting to inform management decisions and client needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree or equivalent in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, health care financing, or related field.
• 3-5 years of federal claiming, medical billing or related financial experience.
• Strong analytic and auditing skills; independent problem solving and quality control.
• Ability to handle details, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data-driven financial, claim-related, and program performance reports for internal management and external clients.
• Perform compliance reviews of program data, including claims, payments, and settlements for QA and integrity.
• Analyze large data sets to quantify problems, inform decisions, monitor changes, and communicate findings.
• Assist in design and maintenance of internal controls to ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Prepare financial/claims data for submission and ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
