Job description

Healthcare Billing/Collection Representative

We are hiring for a Healthcare Billing/Collection Representative position. This is a remote, 3-month contract role with the possibility of extension, offering a pay rate of $19 per hour.

The responsibilities include:

  • Managing delegated enrollment and billing tasks assigned by a supervisor.
  • Supporting banking and billing functions for new and existing accounts.
  • Reconciling and processing bank and customer accounts, resolving issues through research and negotiation.
  • Creating and analyzing reports, billing, and collecting outstanding payments.
  • Identifying trends and developing methods to improve collection results.
  • Supporting larger markets or national accounts as needed.
  • Completing daily enrollment and billing tasks independently with access to senior team advice.
  • Handling non-routine issues escalated from junior team members.

The ideal candidate should have skills in time management, communication, empathy, negotiation, problem-solving, and attention to detail. The role is classified as an Associate level in the Customer Service function within the Hospitals and Healthcare industry.
