Responsibilities

• Performs daily reconciliation of scheduled procedures and obtains necessary authorizations.
• Reconciles, updates and obtains retroactive authorizations; performs insurance verification prior to office visit procedures.
• Acts as liaison with insurance providers about medical necessity and authorization processes.
• Corrects CPT and ICD9 codes to enable pre-authorization and proper billing.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
