  • Understanding of uniform guidance related to healthcare organizations.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, with familiarity with U.S. GAAP.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Job description

The successful candidate will work exclusively with Withum’s Healthcare Services group, providing audit, review, and compilation services to healthcare organizations. The role requires leading audit engagements from planning through completion, supervising staff, and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of audit, review, or compilation engagements to provide world‑class client service.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the audit engagement, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusions.
  • Provide supervision and support to engagement staff, promoting open communication with managers and partners.
  • Collaborate with managers and partners on client issue resolutions, and make recommendations for legal, regulatory, and accounting matters arising during an audit engagement.
  • Review scheduled and non‑scheduled general ledger accounts for accurate entries.
  • Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines efficiently.
  • Create and track engagement budgets, reviewing for inefficiencies during the audit.
  • Conduct constructive discussions with team members on evaluations and provide counsel accordingly.
  • Serve as an instructor or discussion leader in professional development programs.

Compensation

Western New York ranges are from $67,000 to $73,000 annually. Compensation is based on role, location, and individual skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to base pay, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and a bonus program for eligible roles.
