Position Vacant for a Healthcare Assistant - St. John's Residential Home, Guernsey

Full Time

Grade: - Band 3 - £29,348 - £32,546 - BAR - £33,564 - £34,356 per annum

**Must have authorisation to live and work in Guernsey**

**NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent essential**

The States of Guernsey is looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join the team at St John's Residential Care Home.

The role of the Healthcare Assistant is to provide care for the Residents under the guidance and supervision of the Operations & Home Manager and trained nursing staff; and to undertake other activities to assist in the running of the Home as required.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Experience relevant to the work area
  • Experience in a Health Care Setting.
  • Enjoy caring for the elderly.
  • Enjoy being part of a team providing a high standard of care.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with staff and service users.
  • Have a good understanding for the need of a high level of confidentiality.
  • Have a flexible approach to shift patterns and be able at times to work additional hours.
  • Have the ability to cover a wide range of duties, as per job description.
