Job summary

Vizient is offering a one-year Clinical Analytics Fellowship beginning in June 2027, working closely with the Chief Medical Officer on data-driven projects to improve performance, quality, and safety across diverse health systems.

You will analyze data from Vizient databases, support internal analytic teams, and assist with product enhancements and new programs for provider needs, gaining exposure to senior executives from 100+ academic medical centers.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related field (including MHA, MBA with a healthcare concentration, MPH, PharmD, MSHI, MHI, etc.)
• Completed internship within a healthcare setting
• Strong quantitative/analytical skills and project management capabilities

Responsibilities

• Work with internal analytic teams and with providers on various initiatives.
• Support Operations and Quality Executives by fulfilling member analytical requests focusing on clinical improvement opportunities (Length of Stay, mortality, cost, readmissions, etc.)
• Conduct quantitative analysis, project management, and collaboration with providers and departments.
• Support Vizient’s Comparative Data and Performance Improvement strategic plan with a focus on leveraging data.
• Use data analysis to help quality and clinical staff develop strategies to improve performance and ensure the academic enterprise remains viable in the future.
• Assist with managing and enhancing current products and services focused on data and driven performance improvement tools as well as developing new programs and services to better serve our provider needs.
• Gain exposure to senior-level executives from more than 100 academic medical centers as well as integrated health systems and community hospitals.

Summary

In this role, you will work directly with the Chief Medical Officer on projects using data to facilitate performance improvement, quality and safety assessment, and health services research for diverse academic medical centers, complex teaching hospitals, community hospitals, pediatric facilities, integrated health delivery networks and non-acute health care providers. You will assist with internal and external analyses using data from Vizient’s multiple databases including the clinical database, operational database, clinical practice solutions center, and procedural analytics. You will be in a full-time position with a duration of one year as a Fellow, beginning in June 2027.

Estimated Hiring Range

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $51,900.00 to $87,900.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
