Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze financial and operational healthcare data from multiple sources to support informed decision-making.
  • Monitor and stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and performance measures relevant to healthcare finance and operations.
  • Conduct contract cost reviews, evaluate provider performance, and provide recommendations for contract optimization.
  • Reconcile and classify hospital claims data in coordination with the claims department; ensure updates are reflected in analytics systems.
  • Apply Medicare pricing methodologies to outpatient claims for internal pricing models and payment validation.
  • Use provider, facility, and ancillary contract data to support modeling of both capitated and fee-for-service (FFS) arrangements.
  • Assist in monthly capitation deduction processing, exclusion tracking, and CPT code maintenance; support contract language clarification with contracting teams.
  • Contribute to the automation of logic for capitation processing and participate in related system improvements.
  • Work with reporting teams to validate and reconcile newly developed SSRS reports.
  • Prepare regulatory reports, such as annual submissions for state-level planning and development agencies.
  • Create and maintain operational dashboards and financial performance reports for internal departments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain data accuracy and consistency across reports and systems.
  • Fulfill ad-hoc data and research requests as needed.
  • Participate in a collaborative and service-oriented team environment by offering support to colleagues and taking ownership of assigned work.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
  • 2–3 years of experience in a healthcare finance or accounting role
  • Experience within an IPA or Managed Care setting preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Power Query preferred
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including data extraction, temporary tables, and query development
  • Basic programming knowledge in Python or R preferred
  • Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across various departments and roles
  • Commitment to problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Position may be eligible for hybrid or remote work, subject to management approval
