Verily Health Inc. is seeking an AI Applied Scientist to design scalable pipelines curating EHR and claims data while advancing foundational healthcare models and multi-agent conversational architectures.

You will apply cutting-edge LLMs and ML techniques to extract clinical meaning from unstructured medical text, grounding autonomous care agents in real-world data. You will collaborate across teams to elevate model safety, accuracy, and compliance, and to drive production-ready AI for precision

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Sciences, Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience applying advanced ML, NLP, and generative AI techniques to clinical or healthcare datasets.
• Direct experience with real-world data (e.g., EHRs or medical claims) and unstructured medical text.
• Strong proficiency in Python and standard scientific computing/deep learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced generative AI workflows and multi-agent conversational architectures.
• Implement and augment LLM/NLP tools to automate abstraction of clinical variables from unstructured text.
• Develop automated evaluation pipelines and “LLM-as-a-judge” rubrics to benchmark safety, accuracy, and compliance.
• Handle real-world data challenges with privacy preservation and rigorous validation before production.
• Communicate technical results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
