Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute seeks an entry‑level administrative professional to coordinate testing, consultations, and information gathering to support patient outcomes.

You will involve patients in directing their plan of care, maintain confidentiality, and ensure a confidential, orderly, and cost‑effective process in a busy healthcare environment. Strong organizational skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Six months experience (600 hours) using computers to generate materials.
Six months experience (600 hours) in office practices and procedures.
Six months experience (600 hours) in customer service.
Some positions require one year related medical secretarial experience or an associates degree with three courses in medical terminology.
Some positions require six months experience in supervision.

Responsibilities

Arrange testing, consultation and information gathering to facilitate desirable patient outcomes.
Involve the patient in directing their plan of care in a confidential, orderly and cost effective manner.
Work at the James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
