Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Accountant to perform accounting and financial analysis for the department. The role prepares journal entries, analyzes accounts, researches transactions, and supports special projects within a fast-paced healthcare finance team.

Responsibilities

• Adjust account balances on a monthly basis and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and schedules for management.
• Prepare account reconciliations and verify GL accuracy.
• Prepare financial reports and work papers for audits and reviews.
• Reconcile discrepancies and support financial audits.
• Support operational budgeting and long-term projections.
• Answer management questions on account information.
• Support month-end close processes.
